Denise Lee has always had a vivid imagination and love for crafting fantasy tales. Born in California into a family of big dreamers and creative story spinners, Denise has traveled all over chasing adventure and fueling the unique tales she weaves. For years, her compulsion for fantasy merged with reality until learning that sometimes unbelievable truths inspire the greatest fiction.  

"Growing up hearing fantastical stories, history felt malleable," she muses. “I wanted to believe magical things happened around me too. But I’ve realized dreaming up fantasy realms allows exploring deeper truths than mere facts can illuminate." Over years of nomadic dreaming and self-discovery, Denise came to celebrate imagination over embellishment in writing enchanting stories that feel wholly authentic and reveal timeless themes.         

Now Denise focuses wholly on writing the types of wondrous tales she most loves discovering - expansive, mystifying fantasy epics set in realms limited only by imagination’s boundless sweep. Raised on the worlds of Anne McCaffery, Native American folklore, Arthurian legend and spy novels, she adds her unique voice to the pantheon of beloved saga spinners from history’s page and dreams’ dominion alike. When not conjuring up new worlds, quests and immortal heroes, Denise restores her spirit wandering her beloved forests, lakes and seashores and letting imagination unfold under endless skies.
